DESCRIPTION:We will discuss the rapid\, recent large-scale development that
  swept into the Sunset District\, previously just acres of sand. What an u
 nusual social experiment it was to create "instant suburbs" far from the o
 ld core city\, with cohorts of young parents & their children\, aging & gr
 owing up together in brand new homogeneous neighborhoods & schools\, and l
 ater moving in droves to true suburbs outside the city as the parents aged
 \, opening the district up for a more multicultural population and a new e
 ra of 'pioneers.'
